Support - Child, Spousal & Alimony
Our Child Support Practice
We will carefully review any proposed child support order for compliance with California guidelines, and to ensure that all income, such as commission-based, seasonal or self-employment income, is included in the calculation. When circumstances warrant, we will help you seek a deviation from the standards. We represent custodial and non-custodial parents, helping you make certain that any wage assignments are properly prepared and executed.
Our Spousal Support/Alimony Practice
We will help you determine whether a grant of spousal support is necessary and, if so, how much should be paid and for how long. Our lawyers will look at the same factors the court will consider, such as the length of your marriage, the age and health of the parties, the style of living to which you were accustomed, and the earning capacity of each spouse.
We will represent you at any stage of a support controversy, whether your divorce petition has just been filed and you need to establish temporary support, or your divorce is final and you need guidance with a request to modify or enforce a support order. Under certain circumstances, attorney fees incurred in support disputes may be recovered from the other party.
