East County Divorce and Mediation Lawyers
Our Divorce Practice
We will aggressively protect the rights of men or women at any stage of a divorce, whether you have just filed, or you want guidance with a motion for modification or enforcement of a final divorce decree. We handle all matters related to or arising out of divorce, including:
Child Custody/Visitation— We will advise you on matters related to custody and visitation, if you have not already worked out a parenting plan.
Child support — We will review all proposed child support orders for compliance with California guidelines and to ensure that all relevantincome is included in the calculation.
Spousal support or alimony — We will look at the factors considered by the court and help you determine if alimony or spousal support is warranted and, if so, the amount and duration of payments.
Property division — We will help you allocate debts and assets under the state's community property laws, including real and personal property, financial assets, retirement plans, and business interests.
Debt review — We will look at your financial situation and help you understand where you will be after divorce. We will help you determine whether a personal bankruptcy filing might be in your best interests.
Though we have significant trial experience and can protect your rights in court, we strongly encourage our clients to consider mediation as an alternative. We know from experience that while many parties to divorce have strong feelings about the outcome they want to see, they also want to get through the process with minimal conflict, stress and anxiety.
We provide a free initial consultation to all clients. To schedule an appointment with one of our experienced El Cajon divorce lawyers, contact us online or call us at 619-312-4509. We meet with clients between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, or at other times by appointment.
