Richard Marean Peterson


Pete was raised in the East, graduating with a B.A. degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. After college, he joined the service as a Naval officer, serving two tours to Vietnam. Pete attended Law School at the University of San Diego and was admitted to the Bar in 1972.  Indicative of his active involvement in the community, Pete served as President of the Foothills Bar Association, President of the El Cajon Exchange Club, President, Chairman & Director of Crisis House in El Cajon, and was a founding Director of the East San Diego County Lawyer Referral Service. His law practice is devoted to all aspects of family law. When not in the office or courtroom, Pete enjoys backpacking, sailing, snow skiing, and running.
